The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a warning about a fake notification being circulated on social media regarding weightage to term 1 and term 2 board exams in the final results.
As per the fake circular doing rounds online, 30 percent of the weightage will be given to term 1 exams and the remaining 70 per cent will be given to term 2 exams.
The fake notification also insists that the weightage of internal assessments remains unchanged and the students who did not appear for term 1 exams due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic or because they were participating in sports events or Olympiads will be evaluated on the basis of their performance in term 2 exams.
Students should remember that all notices regarding board exams will only be issued through the official CBSE website — cbse.nic.in — or the Board’s official Twitter account.
