CBSE to release CTET 2025 notification soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2025 shortly on its website, ctet.nic.in. The exam, which assesses teaching aptitude for Classes I–VIII, is likely to be held in December this year.
The CTET is generally conducted twice a year, but it has not yet been organised in 2025. The exam is divided into two levels: Paper I, for candidates aspiring to teach Classes I–V, and Paper II, for those aiming to teach Classes VI–VIII. Each paper comprises 150 multiple-choice questions, with no negative marking.
Exam Pattern & Subjects
Paper I includes Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper II covers Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Social Studies/Science.
Eligibility Criteria
Registration Process
Once the notification is released, candidates can apply online by visiting the official portal. The process includes registering with personal and academic details, selecting the paper(s), exam centre, and language preference, uploading a photograph and signature, and paying the application fee. The fee for General/OBC candidates is Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates will pay Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both.
After submission, candidates must download and print the confirmation page for records.
