CBSE supplementary exam 2025 schedule announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule and application details for the CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025 for Classes X and XII. According to the latest announcement, the Class X compartment exams will begin on July 15, 2025, while Class XII supplementary exams will be conducted on the same date in a single day.
The application process begins on May 30, 2025. Regular students are required to apply through their respective schools, whereas private candidates must submit their forms via the official CBSE website — cbse.gov.in.
The deadline to apply without a late fee is June 17, 2025. For those who miss this window, a late fee will be applicable for applications submitted between June 18 and June 19.
The exam fee structure is as follows:
A significant update permits Class X students to transition from Standard Mathematics (Code 041) to Basic Mathematics (Code 241) for the compartment exam. Additionally, Class XII students may appear for improvement in one subject, while Class X students can appear for up to two subjects.
This will also be the final opportunity for students from the 2023-24 session, who failed in their first or second attempts, to appear as private candidates.
The CBSE 2025 board exams were held from February 15 to March 18 for Class X and February 15 to April 4 for Class XII. Results were declared on May 13. The detailed timetable for Class X supplementary exams is expected soon.
