CBSE releases 2025 Mathmetics blueprint for class 10

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official blueprint for the class X Mathematics exam 2025. Scheduled to take place on March 10, 2025, the exam will carry a total weightage of 80 marks, with an additional 20 marks allocated to internal assessments. The blueprint offers students a detailed breakdown of unit-wise and chapter-wise marks distribution, aiding in strategic exam preparation.

The unit-wise marks allocation is as follows: Number Systems (5 marks), Algebra (21 marks), Coordinate Geometry (6 marks), Trigonometry (12 marks), Geometry (15 marks), Mensuration (10 marks), and Statistics (11 marks).

A closer look at the chapter-wise weightage reveals the importance of Algebra, which carries the highest marks at 21. Chapters such as Polynomials, Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations, and Arithmetic Progressions collectively contribute significantly to this unit.

Trigonometry follows with 12 marks, split between Introduction to Trigonometry (7 marks) and Applications of Trigonometry (5 marks). Geometry holds a crucial weightage of 15 marks, with Triangles (8 marks) and Circles (7 marks) forming the core.

In Mensuration, Areas Related to Circles (4 marks) and Surface Areas and Volumes (6 marks) collectively carry 10 marks. The Statistics unit is valued at 11 marks, with Statistics (9 marks) and Probability (2 marks) being key topics.
