The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class X exam for Hindi is scheduled to be held on February 28, 2025. The exams will start on February 15 and will conclude on March 18, 2025. The CBSE has announced its 2025 date sheet, designed with a focus on student convenience and effective preparation. To facilitate this, adequate preparation gaps have been provided between exams for subjects that are commonly chosen by students in class X.
Ms Ruby Bhatnagar, HoD, Hindi, Apeejay School, Noida, shares the format of the question paper and some tips to prepare effectively for the Hindi CBSE exam.
The class X Hindi (A) paper (Code 002) is for three hours; maximum mark: 80. This question paper is divided into four sections – A, B, C, and D.
Section A: Includes 2 questions, with a total of 10 marks. Follow the instructions given.
Section B: Includes 4 questions, with a total of 20 marks. Adhere to the instructions.
Section C: Includes 5 questions, with a total of 20 marks. Follow the instructions carefully.
Section D: Includes 4 questions, with a total of 30 marks. Each question has options, and you are required to answer according to the instructions.
The students must write answers to the questions following the instructions given to them, the educator shared. “They must review the CBSE-prescribed syllabus thoroughly and focus on the key sections: Reading: Practice unseen passages regularly. Grammar: padbandh, rachna ke aadhar par vaaky, samaas and muhavrre. Students must revise these topics time and again. For literature, students should go through each chapter and poem in the textbooks (sparsh, sanchayan) multiple times,” Ms Bhatnagar said.
She also stated that the key points that students must keep in mind are: Note summaries, themes and moral lessons. “For the writing skills: Practice formats for letters (formal), Paragraph Writing, Advertisement, Notice Writing, E-mail, and Laghu Katha. They must focus on the correct usage of Hindi grammar and vocabulary,” she shared and added that there should be a focus on improving speed and comprehension.
