The CBSE Class X Punjabi syllabus was structured into four sections: Reading, Grammar, Writing, and Textbook. The written exam carried 80 marks, while the practical assessment is worth 20 marks. The question paper was designed to comprehensively evaluate students’ proficiency in Punjabi through different sections covering various language skills.
The Reading section assesses students’ comprehension abilities by analyzing given passages, helping to develop their analytical skills. The Writing section focuses on students’ ability to express ideas clearly and coherently. It included tasks like essays, letters, and creative writing, encouraging students to enhance their communication skills. The Grammar section ensures students understand the correct application of Punjabi vocabulary, sentence structures, and language rules.
According to Ms Parminderjit Kaur, TGT Punjabi at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, the question paper was moderately difficult.
