The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams 2023 for class XII finally concluded yesterday, April 5, with the Psychology exam. The exam was held for three hours, from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. According to Dharini Sahni, who teaches the subject at Apeejay School, Pitampura, this year’s question paper “consisted of NCERT-based content”, but was “moderately difficult.”

The Psychology 2023 Board exam paper comprised six sections: Section A had MCQs for 18 marks, section B, which was of 10 marks, included very short answer type questions, section C had short answer type questions for 12 marks, section D and E comprised long answer questions for 16 and six marks respectively, while section F consisted of case-based questions for eight marks.

Here’s the Psychology paper analysis, according to the Apeejay teacher:

*Multiple choice questions (MCQs) were balanced although moderately difficult to attempt. There was only one question where more than one option could be accepted as an answer.

*A few questions, which were a little twisted and required critical thinking, may have been challenging for students.

*Students with in-depth concept clarity and a thorough understanding of NCERT should be able to score well.

*The paper mostly comprised questions that require higher-order thinking skills. The questions were time-consuming as students would have taken some time to carefully read and understand the questions before attempting.

With the CBSE Board exams coming to a close, class XII students will now gear up for upcoming entrance exams to qualify for respective undergraduate courses. Meanwhile, the date and time for the Board results are likely to be announced soon. Students will be able to access their results on the Board’s official website.
