The exams opened with the subject of Entrepreneurship and will conclude with Psychology. The Board also released the 2025 syllabus, outlining the critical chapters and topics that students must focus on.

The Board conducted the Class XII Accountancy exam on March 26, 2025. The three-hour exam commenced at 10:30 am and concluded at 1:30 pm, marking the completion of this year’s CBSE Board exams. Students were allotted 15 minutes, from 10:15 am to 10:30 am, to thoroughly review the question paper before beginning the test.

The Board had declared the date sheet in November last year. This year, approximately 44 lakh students from 26 countries appeared for the Board exams.

The question paper was divided into two parts, Part A and B.

Expert Analysis: An Easy Yet Well-Structured Paper

According to Ms Loveleen Bagga, HoD – Commerce, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, the Accountancy exam was student-friendly, with a focus on core syllabus topics.

“The paper was very easy, and all the questions were more or less practiced in class. However, some expected questions, such as those on past adjustment and balance sheets, were missing. Instead, more preference was given to accounting for share capital. The overall paper was
well-structured and manageable, allowing students to complete it on time with revision,” she highlighted.

She also added, “The layout was clear, and the instructions were easy to follow. Calculations were straightforward, and there was only one minor error in an MCQ. The exam provided an opportunity for students to focus on accuracy and time management. The lack of tricky or unexpected questions made it easier for students to attempt the paper confidently. Additionally, those who practiced sample papers found themselves at an advantage, as the format closely followed the pattern of previous practice tests.”

With this smooth and well-structured examination, students now eagerly await the CBSE Class XII results, which are expected to be declared in May 2025.
