CBSE Class 10 and 12 Results 2024: How to apply for re-evaluation

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 13, 2024 released the results for the 2024 class 10 and 12 Board exams, with 93.60% and 87.98% of students passing, respectively. While CBSE assures careful evaluation adhering to standard procedures, students dissatisfied with their results have the option to apply for verification or re-evaluation of marks.

For students seeking verification of their marks, CBSE has outlined specific guidelines. Applications must be submitted online within the designated schedule, typically from the fourth to the eighth day after the result declaration. The application window for verification lasts five days. During this period, processing charges, payable online via credit/debit card or net banking, are required.

Candidates must decide in advance whether to apply for one or multiple subjects. Once submitted, no additional applications are accepted. CBSE emphasises that any changes to marks, including decreases of even one point, will be reflected in the final marksheet.

If marks are revised (either increased or decreased), students must return their existing marksheet cum certificate to receive an updated version with the revised performance. The process timeline includes the availability of scanned photocopies of evaluated answer books from the 19th day and re-evaluation applications from the 24th day after the result’s declaration.

CBSE advises that it is not liable for any implications arising from mark revisions or processing delays due to uncontrollable circumstances. Students should thoroughly review the provided guidelines and deadlines to ensure compliance with the verification and re-evaluation procedures.

For detailed instructions and updates, students should refer to CBSE’s official notifications and announcements regarding the verification and re-evaluation processes.
