The CBSE results for Class X board exams 2025 have brought immense pride and joy to Apeejay School, Saket, as three of its students secured top scores. Abhilasha Chatterjee, Shradha Mohapatra, and Prakunj Vats have emerged as shining examples of academic excellence with their impressive marks of 98.4%, 98.2%, and 97.8% respectively. In a telephonic interaction, these young achievers shared insights into their preparation strategies, challenges faced, and aspirations for the future.
Abhilasha Chatterjee:
Scoring a remarkable 98.4% in the CBSE result exam, Abhilasha attributes her success to one key factor – consistency. “I didn’t follow a strict timetable, but I made sure I never left any schoolwork pending,” she shared. Without the help of tuition, she revised topics the same day they were taught in school and focused more on pre-board preparation. “By the time the board exams arrived, I was well-prepared.”
Social Science posed the biggest challenge for her. “There were too many chapters,” she said, “but I tackled it by regular revision and practicing previous year questions.” Her dedication bore fruit as she scored 100 in French, Science, and AI. She credits her teachers and the school environment for always being available to solve doubts – even during gap days – and is now preparing for JEE with a focus on Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science engineering.
Shradha Mohapatra:
For Shradha Mohapatra, who scored 98.2%, the journey was about living up to her family’s expectations. “I had set 98% as my target, so I’m happy I exceeded it,” she said. Shradha began preparing from the start of the academic year, ensuring nothing piled up. A month before pre-boards, she intensified her revision, focusing on NCERT and note-based learning.
SST was her biggest hurdle. “I don’t enjoy rote learning, so I read the NCERT so many times I could visualise the page layouts,” she smiled. Her hard work paid off with a 98 in SST, her toughest subject. With a keen interest in aerospace or computer science engineering, she has chosen PCM with Computer Science in Class XI. She also enjoys singing and playing the keyboard – a true all-rounder!
Prakunj Vats:
Scoring 97.8%, Prakunj Vats is thrilled that his hard work has paid off. His strategy? Dividing the syllabus monthly and revising weekly. “The key was practicing previous year questions and mock papers,” he said. AI was his top-scoring subject, thanks to his love for logical thinking and coding.
He admits his challenges included SST and improving handwriting and grammar. “My teachers helped me work on my weaknesses – they gave constant feedback, especially on English and literature.” Now in Class XI with PCM, Prakunj dreams of becoming a data analyst, driven by his passion for math and physics.
