The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 10 examination results for 2025 on May 13. This year saw 23,85,079 students register for the exams, with 23,71,939 candidates appearing. Out of them, 22,21,636 students successfully passed, pushing the overall pass rate to an impressive 93.66%.
Within this cohort are students whose exceptional perseverance and commitment have redefined success in the 2025 CBSE Class 10 results. Meet Sanjivani Singh, Akshita Soni, Saesha Gupta, Satvik Prasad, and Siya Verma from Apeejay School, Noida, who have brought laurels to the school.
In a candid interview, they share their success mantra.
Sanjivani, who scored 98.6%, believes that honesty with herself was key to her success. “I constantly asked if I had met my daily targets. Taking every exam, unit tests, to pre-Board seriously kept me on track. I revised class lessons regularly, and since our syllabus was completed by mid-October, I had ample time for revision and practice,” she shared.
Initially discouraged by low marks in internal tests, she used them as learning experiences. After finishing the syllabus, she focused on solving sample papers and full-length mock exams. Simple strategies like neat writing and underlining key points improved her presentation.
Rather than tracking hours, she prioritised completing tasks. “Post-school, I studied about four hours daily — finishing homework and revising consistently. Chemistry was initially tough, but visual aids and videos helped build conceptual clarity. By pre-Boards, I increased my study time to six hours,” she said.
Her teachers played a vital role by offering constant encouragement, worksheets, and a helpful “exam tips” session in January. To stay stress-free, she relied on her parents’ support, music, reading Agatha Christie novels, Bharatnatyam, and extracurriculars.
Akshita, who scored 98%, feels proud and content with her achievement. “It’s fulfilling to see my hard work pay off. I’ve chosen Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Computer Science for Class XI. The key to my success was consistency—studying daily rather than just during exams,” she shared.
Regular self-study, goal setting, and to-do lists helped her manage time effectively. Staying ahead of the school syllabus, she often studied one or two chapters in advance and referred to additional books to deepen her understanding.
“Devoting five to six hours daily wasn’t easy when others relaxed, but I’ve always believed that education is the most powerful tool for growth and contribution. That belief kept me going,” she said.
She is thankful to her teachers for their constant guidance and support, which fostered a positive learning atmosphere. She credits her elder sister as her biggest inspiration and appreciates her family’s unwavering support, which helped her remain focused and determined.
Saesha, who also scored 98%, shared, “I followed a well-structured study plan that revolved around NCERT textbooks. I broke down the syllabus into weekly goals. Solving past papers and taking timed mock tests helped me build speed and accuracy. In subjects like Math and Science, I focused on problem-solving and writing clear, step-by-step answers,” she said.
Initially, she studied three hours daily outside of school, gradually increasing it to six hours, and finally up to nine hours closer to the exams. “I followed a timetable, balanced all subjects, and never let my revisions slip. The guidance from my school teachers was invaluable. They clarified concepts thoroughly, were always available for doubts — even after school — and gave us tips on writing answers according to Board patterns. Their regular mock tests and feedback helped me improve and stay motivated,” Saesha shared, who has chosen PCM because she enjoy logical reasoning and scientific thinking and is preparing for JEE.
Satvik, who scored 98%, shared, “My strategy was to complete the syllabus early, leaving enough time for thorough revision. I regularly reviewed unit tests and school exam papers to identify and improve my weak areas. Solving sample papers and PYQs boosted my confidence.”
He maintained a consistent study routine throughout the year, focusing on conceptual understanding over rote learning. He credited his teachers for simplifying complex topics, being approachable for doubts, and offering useful tips on answer writing and time management. He has opted for the Science stream with PCM and aspires to join a reputed engineering college.
“To manage exam stress, I balanced study with leisure. Playing sports kept me refreshed,” he added. Satvik also appreciated his parents’ emotional support, saying they helped him follow a healthy routine and stay positive throughout the journey.
Siya, who scored 98%, said, “I kept my study strategy simple — setting daily targets and consistently studying for about seven hours throughout the year. This routine helped me stay organised and avoid last-minute stress.” Though she felt anxious before her first Board exam, her confidence grew as the exams progressed. “My teachers were incredibly supportive, always available to clear doubts and guide me,” she shared.
She also credited her parents for creating a stress-free environment. “They never pressured me about marks. Their constant encouragement and the positive atmosphere at home kept me motivated,” Siya added.
