on

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the date sheet for the 2025 class X and XII Board exams. Scheduled from February 15 to April 4, 2025, the class X exams will conclude on March 18, while class XII exams will continue until April 4, 2025. The practical exams, internal assessments, and project work for both classes began on January 1, 2025, giving students ample time for preparation.

Updates introduced for the CBSE Board Exams 2025:

Reduction in Long and Short-Answer Questions:
The number of long- and short-answer questions has been reduced for both class X and class XII. This aims to encourage conceptual understanding rather than rote memorisation.

Focus on Competency-Based Questions:
CBSE has emphasised competency-based questions to test students’ ability to apply knowledge to real-life scenarios. These will form a major portion of the class XII exams.

Increased Weightage for Internal Assessment:
Internal assessments will now account for 40% of the total marks, with 60% reserved for the final Board exams. This shift highlights continuous evaluation through assignments, tests, and projects.

Mandatory 75% Attendance:
Students must maintain at least 75% attendance throughout the academic year to be eligible for the exams.

Special Provisions for Olympiad Participants and Athletes:
Students involved in national or international events can now take exams on alternate dates if schedules overlap, allowing them to balance academics with extracurricular commitments.

Enhanced Security Measures:
Biometric authentication, digital fingerprinting, and face matching will be implemented to ensure fair exams.

New Sub-Regional Office in Agartala:
A new office will strengthen the education infrastructure and support for students and teachers in the region.

Students must stay informed and adapt their preparation strategies to align with these changes for a successful exam experience.
