Apeejay School, Model Town burst into a riot of colours and creativity as students from Classes 1 to 10 participated in the much-awaited Inter-House Drawing and Painting Competition. The event, designed to foster creativity and self-expression, brought together young artists across grades, each putting their imagination to paper with zeal and purpose.
For the senior group, comprising students of Classes 6 to 10, the themes were both thoughtful and timely — “My India, My Pride,” “Nature – Meditation Partner,” and “Wildlife: Earth’s Natural Treasure.” These topics inspired works of art that reflected not just technical skill but also a deep-rooted awareness of environmental stewardship and patriotic pride. From lush green landscapes to majestic tigers and heartfelt depictions of the nation, each canvas spoke volumes.
Meanwhile, the younger students from Classes 1 to 5 painted with equal passion on the theme of “World Health Day.” Their artwork — filled with cheerful colours and powerful messages — highlighted the importance of wellness, hygiene, and healthy habits. These budding artists poured their imagination into drawings that underscored the value of staying fit and caring for one another.
The competition was marked by enthusiastic participation and infectious energy across all grades. It served as a vibrant platform for self-expression, helping students articulate important ideas through art while discovering their own creative voice.
Judges and teachers were full of praise for the effort, originality, and thematic depth seen in the students’ creations. For many, it was a moment of recognition and joy, as hidden talents emerged on the canvas and added colour to a memorable school day.
With every brushstroke, students not only created visual masterpieces but also reflected values of empathy, responsibility, and national pride — making this artistic journey a truly meaningful one.
