Bridging the gap between parents and schools for a seamless learning experience

Orientation sessions serve as an essential bridge between schools and parents, ensuring a smooth transition for young learners into their academic journey. Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar, organised an engaging and informative Orientation Session for parents of newly enrolled students. The event was designed to familiarise parents with the school’s structured, theme-based curriculum, key academic subjects, and essential guidelines to ensure a seamless transition for their children into the new academic year.

The session commenced with a warm welcome to parents, followed by an overview of the school’s commitment to holistic learning. The curriculum briefing covered subjects such as English, Mathematics, Hindi, Computer Coding, Art and craft, Music and movement, Pretend Play, Speech and drama, and Physical Education. The faculty members emphasised how these subjects are carefully integrated to support cognitive, creative, and physical development in early learners. 

Parents were also provided with detailed information regarding school guidelines, including uniforms, stationery requirements, book submissions, and daily schedules. The objective was to equip parents with all the necessary information to help their children adapt smoothly to the school routine.

Officiating Principal, Ms Priyanka Grover, addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the orientation session in fostering a strong connection between parents and the school. She emphasised how such initiatives enhance parental involvement, ultimately benefiting students’ academic and social growth.

A crucial part of the session was the counseling segment led by Incharge of Rhythms Kinderworld, Ms Nidhi Ghai. She sensitised parents on the importance of patience during the settling-in period and advised against comparing children. She encouraged a calm and supportive approach to foster confidence and independence among young learners.
