Achieving academic excellence is no small feat, and these brilliant young minds have proven that hard work, consistency, and determination always pay off. Meet the toppers of class VII from Apeejay School, Rama Mandi – Yadunandan Vatts and Lakshita Arora, who scored 95.7% and 91.6% respectively. These star performers have testified that their impressive results are a reflection of their dedication, the guidance of their teachers, and the unwavering support of their families.

Speaking about their preparation strategy, Yadunandan shared, “I did follow some particular strategies due to which I could succeed. I set a timetable and studied subjects accordingly, I took a break of five minutes after studying one subject. I had to stay up late till 11 pm and understand all the concepts. I didn’t depend on just one book only but I also studied from other books. This technique helped me a lot.”

Meanwhile, Lakshita said, “I used to create a structured schedule. It helped me to stay on track and ensured I covered all the essential topics. I used to take short breaks between my preparations, too.”

What about the challenges that came during exam time? Lakshita grappled with the part where she was not able to memorise everything, so she focused on clearing concepts.

Yadunandan expressed, “The most difficult part for exams was that I had to complete the whole syllabus in one single day for the SST exam. I had to work on my speed and memory power for this. I couldn’t take continuous breaks, but I had to overcome this in any manner. I stayed away from mobiles, TV and any type of similar distractions.”

It is no secret that with a passion for learning and a thirst for knowledge, they both have set a benchmark for their peers. Thus, sharing on similar lines, Lakshita shares that her favourite subjects are Math because it helps her to improve problem-solving skills and logical thinking, along with Geography to understand the environment, cultures, and global issues.

On the other hand, Yadunandan said, “My favourite subjects are Science, Computer and Math because Science helps me to know about everything around me and the huge worlds in small organisms, I like computers because they help me to learn languages that can help me understand applications, webpages, and online communities. I like maths because it makes me feel better whenever I want to relax, I always open maths and solve at least 5 questions.”

On a concluding note, Lakshita is already aiming for the sky by aspiring for an aviation career, whereas Yadunandan has an ambition to start a technology company and create applications like Discord, Telegram.
