Read about her journey in Hindi public speaking, among other things.

You authored a book at a young age. Could you share more about it?

My book Whispers from the Himalayas, published in Class VIII, reflects my deep connection with the Himalayas and highlights the importance of conserving regional culture and traditions.

How did your journey in Hindi public speaking begin?

I realised Hindi is more than a subject; it represents India’s culture and history. This understanding inspired me to adopt Hindi debating and public speaking as a meaningful form of expression.

Which topics interest you the most while speaking?

I am particularly passionate about subjects that explore social equality, ethical values, and the structures that shape Indian society and politics. I enjoy discussing topics that raise awareness, encourage critical thinking, and inspire responsible citizenship among audiences.

Is there any Hindi writer who inspires you?

Munshi Premchand inspires me greatly. His realistic portrayal of society and human emotions makes his writing powerful, relatable, and relevant even today.

Can you recall a moment when you felt truly proud?

During my first debate in Class IX, I stood before nearly 100 people and spoke without fear. Experiencing their attentive listening made me realise the impact of my words and gave a tremendous boost to my confidence.

How do you manage stage fright?

I feel nervous at first, but as soon as I connect with the audience and sense their focus, my anxiety disappears. I become completely absorbed in delivering my speech, letting my words flow naturally and confidently.

Does body language influence your speaking style?

Yes, body language plays a crucial role in my speaking. I use gestures naturally to emphasise points, and reviewing recordings has helped me understand how these movements enhance my expressions, making my speech more engaging and impactful.

Has your school supported your journey?

It has been incredibly supportive of my journey. The school not only valued my academic progress but also recognised and nurtured my speaking and debating skills, helping me become a more confident, expressive, and well-rounded individual.

Message for aspiring Hindi orators.

Speak with conviction, take pride in your language, and be confident. Hindi connects people deeply and deserves to be spoken with respect and belief.
