Apeejay Newsroom had the pleasure of speaking with Mrs. Hitasha Gupta, the proud mother of two students, Viyan and Vatsal Gupta, who shared her heartfelt experiences and satisfaction with the school.

Can you tell us about your children and their experiences at Apeejay?
My elder son, Viyan, is in 6th class, and my younger son, Vatsal, is in 1st class at Apeejay. From day one, they have both been very happy and comfortable in the school environment. The school’s reputation in Jalandhar is outstanding, and I’ve seen firsthand how the teachers and staff are incredibly supportive and nurturing.

How has Apeejay contributed to your children’s development?
Apeejay has played a significant role in my children’s overall development. Beyond academics, they emphasise manners, values, and social awareness. For instance, my kids have learned to respect everyone, including helpers and elders. This holistic approach is crucial in today’s world.

Can you share any specific instances that highlight the school’s impact?
Absolutely. When my youngest was born, Viyan was in LKG. I informed the school that I wouldn’t be able to help Viyan with his homework for a while. The school’s response was amazing; the teachers took extra care of him, ensuring he completed his homework at school, which was a huge relief for me. This level of support builds tremendous trust in the school.

What extracurricular activities are your children involved in?
Viyan is passionate about lawn tennis, and the school offers morning sports classes which he attends regularly. Vatsal enjoys skating. The school’s emphasis on sports helps them stay active and healthy while also teaching them discipline and teamwork.

How has the school environment helped your children in terms of social skills and confidence?
The school fosters a supportive environment where children feel comfortable addressing their issues directly with teachers. This has boosted their confidence significantly. They have regular seminars and classes on various social issues, and the principal is very involved, making personal visits to classrooms to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Can you describe any unique learning experiences that Viyan has had at Apeejay?
During online classes in the 3rd and 4th standards, Viyan developed a keen interest in electrical gadgets. With the guidance of his teachers, he created several projects, including a solar fan, jumping robot, water irrigation system, and battery car. His participation in school exhibitions has been highly encouraged, further nurturing his passion.

How does Apeejay support parents in their children’s education and overall development?
The school is incredibly responsive to parents’ concerns. Whether it’s the principal or the teachers, they are always approachable and proactive in solving any issues. This open communication reassures us that our children are in good hands. Teachers go beyond their professional roles, often acting as second parents to the students.

Lastly, how would you describe the bond between your children?
Viyan and Vatsal share a typical sibling bond; they are best friends and rivals at the same time. Despite their fights over small things, they can’t stay away from each other. This bond is nurtured by the school environment, which encourages them to be caring and supportive siblings.
