Apeejay’s budding legal eagles earn internship opportunity with a renowned law firm

Internships play a pivotal role in shaping the careers of law students, offering them a practical bridge between academic learning and real-world legal practice. The importance of internships for law students lies in the experiential knowledge gained, providing insights into the day-to-day workings of the legal profession. Through internships, students can apply theoretical concepts to actual cases, honing their research, writing, and analytical skills. Exposure to diverse legal scenarios helps students identify their areas of interest and specialisation. Moreover, internships facilitate networking with legal professionals, enabling students to build valuable connections for future career opportunities. The hands-on experience gained during internships not only enhances a student’s resume but also fosters a deeper understanding of legal processes, ethics, and client interactions, contributing significantly to their overall development as competent and well-rounded legal professionals.

Thus, realising the importance of early exposure to internships for budding legal professionals, an internship was organised for the students of School of Legal Studies (SoLS), Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram. 

The budding legal professionals received the opportunity to intern at the office of Dr. Pavan Duggal & Associates, a renowned Cyber Law Expert, specialising in the field of cyber law, cybercrime law, cyber security law and artificial intelligence law. 

Students of BA LLB 4^th year and final year were selected by the firm. During their internship, students got the wonderful opportunity to hone their skills in learning and experiencing the contemporary technological advancements to counter the emerging challenges in the areas of cyber crimes, cyber security and artificial intelligence. 

Additionally, students also got the opportunity to participate in the International Conference on Cyber Law, Cyber Crime and Cyber Security hosted by Dr. Pavan Duggal Associates on 1 December 2023.

It was noteworthy as Dr. Pavan Duggal appreciated the commendable feedback received from the students, who had a holistic experience and completed their internship successfully. He further mentioned that he will look forward to providing his continuous support and assistance to the students of School of Legal Studies at Apeejay.
