Apeejay Svran Global School, Sector 21-D, Faridabad, recently hosted its inaugural Scholar Badge Ceremony to recognise the exceptional academic achievements of students who excelled in their 5th-grade year. Now in 6th grade, these students were celebrated for their dedication to academics, discipline, and extracurricular activities. We spoke with some of the awardees, who shared their journey, motivations, and future aspirations.
Aarna Vohra

Aarna felt a surge of pride and joy upon receiving her scholar badge. “It feels really good to be recognised,” she said. Aarna’s passion lies in mathematics, where she finds solving problems both fun and fulfilling. Inspired by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Aarna values perseverance and refuses to give up, regardless of challenges. “The most exciting lesson this year has been learning that one should never give up, no matter what anyone says,” she shared. If given the chance, she would spend an entire day learning about human values, reflecting her deep curiosity about human nature and kindness.
Aranya Rai

Aranya was thrilled to receive her scholar badge, proudly stating, “I think I scored 90.8%!” Known for her love of Maths, Aranya appreciates the subject’s systematic methods and problem-solving structure. Her secret to success? “I always behave properly with teachers and help others,” she noted. Aranya has created a daily routine balancing study, play, and family time, enabling her to enjoy both learning and leisure. Her ambition for learning extends beyond academics, as she wishes to delve deeper into game techniques and Maths problem-solving.
Hazel Mavi

Hazel’s motivation to work hard stems from her aspiration to earn the scholar badge. “I felt very happy receiving it,” she shared with a bright smile. Her favourite subject is English, which she enjoys for its clarity and ease of understanding. “This year, learning phrases and clauses was especially exciting,” Hazel said, adding that her class teacher was equally thrilled to see her students succeed. Driven by her academic accomplishments, Hazel remains committed to her studies and values her teacher’s support.
Navya Verma

Navya described the pride she felt when she was awarded the scholar badge. “It feels really nice and makes me proud,” she said. With a keen interest in Social Studies, Navya is fascinated by history and enjoys learning about past events. Her disciplined approach to learning includes creating a timetable, ensuring a balance between academics and her interests in art and dance. This year, learning French and exploring the stories behind monuments, like the Taj Mahal, has captivated her curiosity. For Navya, her sister stands as a source of inspiration, always there to support her studies and growth.
Tanishka Rawat

Receiving the scholar badge was a proud moment for Tanishka, who admits that while she didn’t achieve everything she hoped, she’s still immensely proud. Science is her favourite subject, and she’s drawn to its depth and the thrill of experiments. Tanishka’s strong study habits include attentive listening in class and following a structured routine. An avid table tennis player, she recently won a prize for her skills. “My parents work very hard, and I want to make them proud,” she shared, underscoring her motivation to achieve good grades.
Vivaan Bhatt

Vivaan found the scholar badge ceremony to be a proud moment. While he enjoys all subjects, maths stands out due to his interest in geometry and numbers. English, however, presents a challenge, and he works hard to improve in it. Vivaan maintains a balanced schedule, dedicating time to study, homework, and his passion for tennis. His dedication to learning extends to mastering tennis, inspired by Wimbledon players. “I want to learn the tips and tricks for playing tennis well,” he shared, determined to pursue excellence on the court and in class.
Avyan Sood

Avyan’s joy was evident when he received his scholar badge. “I feel very happy and proud of myself for having this Scholar Badge,” he said. His favourite subject is Maths, where his natural problem-solving abilities shine. “I am a quick responder and enjoy solving problems,” Avyan shared. His fast grasping power and willingness to help teachers and friends contribute to his success. “My mother is my biggest inspiration when it comes to learning,” he added. Balancing his time, Avyan ensures to spend equal time studying and playing. This year, his interests also extend to football and he has joined the Lawn Tennis Academy at school. If he could spend an entire day learning, it would be dedicated to Maths and English subjects he’s passionate about.
