Apeejay Svran Global School Celebrates Mother’s Day in style

Mother’s Day is a special occasion to honour and appreciate the unwavering love, dedication, and sacrifices that mothers make for their families. They are the silent warriors who manage countless tasks, often performing miracles to ensure the well-being and happiness of their loved ones. Recognising their immense contributions, Apeejay Svran Global School recently hosted a joyous Mother’s Day celebration titled ‘Manager of Miracles.’

The celebration at the school kicked off with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a heartfelt welcome address by the Principal, Ms. Priti Wason. She congratulated all the mothers present in the audience for their tireless efforts in shaping their children’s futures. Highlighting the universal bond of a mother’s love, the event featured a melodious group song by students of classes 4 and 5 and a mesmerising dance performance by students from nursery to class 3.

Ms. Manisha Dhar, the school psychologist, addressed the audience on early childhood challenges and strategies to handle them positively. The event also featured a variety of competitions where mother-child duos showcased their talents. The activities included a ramp walk, fireless cooking, and advertisement jingles.

Ramp Walk with Panache:

In the Ramp Walk competition, Nitara Singh and her mother Ms. Sweety clinched the first prize for the Junior kindergarten category. Kaushiki Raj and Ms. Sudha secured the second prize for class 2, while Viraj and Ms. Nidhi won the third prize for junior kindergarten. Consolation prizes were awarded to Sameep Dey and Ms. Pragya and Dhruv Singh and Ms. Monika Hans, both class 1 parents.

Fireless Cooking Fiesta:

The Fireless Cooking competition saw Ujjwal Datta  and his mother Ms. Kimmi Datta won the first prize among class 5 students. Mahi Sharma and Ms. Rupika Sharma secured the second prize in class 4 category and Aadriti Rai and Ms. Sonali Rai won the third prize for class 3 category. Consolation prizes went to Laranya and Ms. Mona Bhardwaj from class 4 and Maginthan and Ms. Shanthi N from class 1.

Jingle/Advertisement Event Winners:

In the Jingle/Advertisement competition, Sachman Kaur and Ms. Tamanna emerged as the winners for class 4. Arya Rathee and Ms. Archana secured the second prize for class I while Anik and Ms. Priyanka won the third prize for class I. Consolation prizes were awarded to Mishika and Ms. Geeta Garg (class 2), and Ranbir and Ms. Sheetal (class 4).

Mother’s loved it!

The event received glowing feedback from the parents.

Ms. Meenu, mother of Manvi from class 5 remarked, “It was the finest event.Big cheers to the school.” while Ms. Sarita, mother of Sara from class 3 described the performances and activities as “simply too good.”

Ms. Pratima, mother of Maanya from class 5 expressed her happiness stating, “The programme was just perfect. I spent many precious moments with my child. On the other hand Ms. Ekta, mother of Jivitesh from class 2 praised the school’s organisation by calling the event, “very well organised.” Ms. Deepmala, mother of Kavish from class 4 expressed her gratitude and happiness saying, “It was a wonderful Mother’s Day event and a lovely day spent at the school.”
