The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic zeal at Apeejay Svran Global School, Sec 21-D, Faridabad. Despite drizzling skies, the spirit of the day remained bright and cheerful as students, teachers, and staff gathered for the special occasion.
The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the rendition of the national anthem, echoing the pride of freedom across the campus. Teachers and students, dressed in the vibrant hues of the tricolour, came together to pay tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to celebrate the unity and diversity of India.

A learning experience for students
For students, Independence Day was more than just a celebration – it was a valuable learning experience. By participating in cultural programmes, singing patriotic songs, and engaging in meaningful discussions, they understood the importance of freedom, democracy, and responsibility as young citizens of India. The event instilled values of respect, unity, and love for the nation among the learners.
The Pre-Primary wing of the school celebrated the occasion with boundless excitement. Little learners dressed in tricolour outfits, sashes, and wristbands, bringing alive the festive spirit. The morning assembly included a simple narration of India’s Independence story, followed by an engaging talk on national symbols like the flag, the Ashoka Chakra, and the national bird.
Children enthusiastically danced to patriotic songs and participated in creative activities where they crafted beautiful tricolour-themed takeaways. To make the day even more memorable, they also brought colourful tricolour food items, turning the celebration into a feast of flavours and imagination.

Patriotism through creativity and expression
The celebration was not just about cultural expression but also about nurturing a sense of belonging and pride in the young learners. Through art, music, dance, and stories, children found meaningful ways to express their patriotism. Teachers ensured that every activity blended fun with learning, making the day an inspiring experience for all.
The event concluded with the echo of “Jai Hind!” resonating across the campus, leaving behind smiles, pride, and a deeper understanding of the values that bind us as Indians.
