Apeejay Stya University conducting annual Faculty Development Programme
The sessions are planned to orient faculty members about the University’s vision, mission, its academic system evaluation system and other necessary aspects of varsity functioning
A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is essential for equipping educators with the latest teaching methodologies, aligning them with institutional goals, and enhancing their skills. It fosters a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring faculty can effectively support student learning, adapt to educational innovations, and contribute to academic excellence.
Understanding the importance of the same, Apeejay Stya University (ASU) is conducting its annual Faculty Development Programme (FDP) till August 3, 2024. This seven-day event aims to orient new faculty members to the university’s vision, mission, academic systems, and evaluation processes, ensuring they are well-equipped to foster a student-centric learning environment.

Align faculty with ASU’s vision and mission, instilling the Apeejay Education Culture.
Provide training on the ASU academic system, Liberal Arts philosophy, and academic registration process using ERP.
Discuss teaching-learning processes and best practices to improve learning outcomes, including the use of the LMS MOODLE.
Offer a broad overview of Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
Acquaint faculty members with ASU governance and community connect initiatives.
Programme Highlights
The inaugural session kicked off with a focus on ASU’s academic system and the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Sessions will include discussions on course structures, practical training on Moodle, and an exploration of teaching best practices.
Innovative Learning Tools
Hands-on workshops will be conducted to familiarize faculty with Moodle, an essential Learning Management System (LMS), and the university’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. These tools are integral to modern teaching methodologies and administrative efficiency.
