The School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram hosted the “Cultural Mosaic,” a vibrant event aimed at fostering creativity and cultural engagement among students. The day began with an inspiring speech by Dean Prof. Amit Kumar Goel, who highlighted the significance of extracurricular activities for students’ holistic development.
The event featured various activities, including a poster-making competition, poetry recitals, dance performances, and a fashion show, each showcasing the diverse talents of the students. These activities not only provided a platform for students to express their creativity but also encouraged them to embrace and celebrate cultural diversity.

The poster-making competition saw students creatively addressing various themes, while the poetry recitals brought out the eloquence and emotional depth of the participants. The dance performances were a visual treat, showcasing a blend of traditional and modern styles, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the students. The fashion show, which was the highlight of the event, displayed an array of outfits inspired by different cultures, bringing a colorful end to the day’s activities.
Dr. Sonam Raheja, the Cultural Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing her gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success. She acknowledged the hard work of the participants, faculty, and organising committee, and emphasised the importance of such events in enhancing students’ cultural awareness and creative abilities.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and goodies to all participants, serving as tokens of appreciation for their enthusiasm and effort. “Cultural Mosaic” not only provided a break from academic routines but also enriched the students’ university experience by promoting cultural diversity and creativity.
