The INTACH Heritage Club of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar recently organised an enriching educational excursion to Jaipur and Delhi. This trip aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to India’s rich cultural heritage and modern advancements.
A group of 46 students, accompanied by five faculty members, visited iconic historical sites, bustling markets, and modern attractions in both cities. The trip was coordinated under the guidance of Ms. Rajni Kumar, Dean, Heritage Club and INTACH Member, along with Mr. Vishavbandhu (INTACH Member), Dr. Monika Anand (INTACH Member), Ms. Amandeep Kaur, and Ms. Harshita Arora
In Jaipur, students explored the grandeur of Amer Fort, City Palace, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, and Jaigarh Fort, learning about Rajasthan’s royal history and architectural brilliance. They also indulged in the vibrant local culture, shopping at the famous Bapu Bazar and Johri Bazar while enjoying the traditional Rajasthani ambiance at Choki Dhani. A visit to Govind Dham Temple was also part of the itinerary.
The journey continued to Delhi, where the group was honoured with a rare visit to the President’s House, a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many. They also visited historical monuments such as Humayun’s Tomb and paid their respect at India Gate. The itinerary balanced cultural immersion with modern experiences, with trips to DLF Mall and Select City Mall, showcasing the contemporary face of India’s capital.

The trip proved to be a successful blend of cultural education and modern exploration, leaving a lasting impact on the students by fostering an appreciation for India’s diverse heritage. The Heritage Club looks forward to organising more such insightful excursions in the future.
Dr. Neerja Dhingra, Principal, while expressing her views on this said, ” At Apeejay, we ensure that the learning experience of the students is not just limited to books and classrooms but they also explore around them when it is possible and experience and learn about their rich Indian heritage and culture.” She also acknowledged the efforts of all the members of Heritage Club for organising such an enriching and historical visit for the students.
