Apeejay students experience an insightful visit to a leading manufacturing unit

Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) in Jalandhar organised a highly informative and enriching industrial visit for its students. This educational excursion took participants to the manufacturing unit of Victor Tools (Pvt. Ltd.), one of India’s leading manufacturers of hand tools. Students from various disciplines, including BBA, BCA, B Com Honours, B Tech CSE, and B Tech CSE (AI & ML), attending Skill Enhancement Classes, participated in this insightful trip.

The primary objective of the industrial visit was to provide students with real-world industry exposure, enhancing their understanding of manufacturing processes and bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. This initiative aimed to connect classroom learning with real-world industrial practices, offering students invaluable insights and inspiration for their educational journey.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the intricacies of the manufacturing processes at Victor Tools. They witnessed firsthand the advanced machinery and techniques used in the production of hand tools, gaining a deeper understanding of how theoretical concepts are applied in a practical setting. The tour included a detailed overview of the production line, quality control measures, and the various stages involved in creating high-quality hand tools.

Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, expressed the significance of such industrial visits, stating, “We believe that industrial visits are an integral part of our student’s learning journey. It offers them a chance to observe and understand the practical application of the concepts they study in classrooms. By organising such visits, we strive to provide our students with a holistic education that prepares them for the challenges and demands of the professional world.”

The students actively participated in the visit, demonstrating their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. They engaged with the Victor Tools team, asking pertinent questions and seeking clarifications about the manufacturing processes. This interaction provided them with a comprehensive understanding of various management and technological concepts, enriching their academic experience.

Mr. Sunny Gulati and Ms. Rajinder Kaur, Assistant Professors in the School of Management, were the faculty coordinators for the event. Their meticulous planning and coordination ensured the visit was both educational and enjoyable for the students. The students expressed their gratitude to the management and faculty of AIMETC for organising this educational excursion, which expanded their knowledge and allowed them to gain a deeper understanding of industry practices.
