Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar recently hosted an exciting series of Kho Kho matches for students from Classes V to VIII. The event aimed to provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their athletic abilities, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a competitive setting. Organised to encourage physical activity and holistic development, the matches brought together students, teachers, and coordinators in a spirited atmosphere.

The matches were characterised by strong camaraderie, with each team actively cheering and supporting their teammates. Students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and collaboration, devising effective defensive strategies, making quick movements, and executing precise tagging to outwit their opponents. The competitive spirit was palpable, as each team aimed to outperform the others while maintaining a sense of fair play.

The results of the matches were as follows:

First Place: Teams of Class VIII in both the boys’ and girls’ sections.

Second Place: Class VI in the girls’ section, and Class VII in the boys’ section.

Third Place: Girls of Class V in the girls’ section, and boys of Classes V and VI shared third place in the boys’ section.

The event underscored Apeejay School’s commitment to holistic development, offering students opportunities to engage in physical activities and learn important values such as discipline, teamwork, and respect. The matches were inaugurated by the coordinator of the school, Ms. Deepti Kaushal, alongside the Sports Teacher, Mr. Yadwinder, who contributed to the enthusiasm and spirit of the event.
