At Apeejay School, Saket, students had the privilege of engaging in a unique learning experience that extended far beyond textbooks. Under the guidance of teachers Ms. Seema Passi and Ms. Meenu Sehgal, and in the presence of Principal Dr. Sujeet Eric Masih, they interacted with Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament, national leader and youth inspiration.

This special occasion brought a blend of curiosity, enthusiasm, and reflection, as students learned how qualities of leadership can be cultivated from a young age.

The Power of Real-World Exposure

For the students, this interaction was not just a meeting but an immersion into the world of public service and responsibility. Ms. Swaraj, in conversation with the Principal, teachers and students, highlighted the values of commitment, empathy, and vision in leadership.

The opportunity to listen and ask questions directly to a leader created an atmosphere of genuine curiosity. Students absorbed the significance of perseverance, service, and confidence, qualities that are critical in shaping tomorrow’s leaders.

Student Takeaways and Reflections

The session left students with meaningful takeaways. The interaction motivated them to work harder towards their aspirations and to view leadership not as a position of power but as an act of service. They returned to their classrooms with renewed enthusiasm, equipped with perspectives that will guide their growth both academically and personally.

Teachers observed that the exposure encouraged critical thinking, broadened horizons, and helped students relate theoretical concepts of leadership to real-life examples.

Principal Dr. Sujeet Eric Masih expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity, remarking, “Cherish such opportunities for children and team, really a learning experience.” His words captured the spirit of the day, emphasising how such encounters foster humility and inspiration among young learners.

The session with Ms. Bansuri Swaraj was, therefore, more than a meeting, it was a life lesson that continues to inspire students as they march forward to become compassionate leaders of tomorrow.
