To strengthen the partnership between home and school, Apeejay School, Saket recently hosted a comprehensive Parent Orientation Programme for the parents of students from Grades VI to XII. Held at the school auditorium, the session aimed to provide clarity on the academic roadmap for the new academic session while addressing queries and expectations of parents.
Setting the stage for academic success
The orientation served as a vital platform to apprise parents of key aspects such as the assessment structure, curriculum and pedagogy, promotional policies, and the process of transitioning to the next grade. It was designed to ensure that parents are well-informed and aligned with the school’s academic vision and goals for the year ahead.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by the school team, followed by detailed presentations by faculty members. Through engaging sessions, the school representatives shed light on the internal assessment criteria, academic planning, student support systems, and the use of technology in classrooms. They also highlighted the importance of parental involvement in a child’s academic journey.

Focus on holistic development
With a strong emphasis on holistic development, the speakers also touched upon various co-curricular activities, student wellness initiatives, and the significance of time management and discipline. The attendees were guided on how to support their wards in coping with academic pressures and staying motivated throughout the year.
The orientation also allowed parents to engage directly with the educators, encouraging an open exchange of ideas and concerns. The interactive nature of the event ensured that every query – from subject selection in higher classes to promotion criteria – was addressed in a thoughtful and comprehensive manner.
Strengthening the home-school bond
The large turnout of parents and their enthusiastic participation reflected their commitment to being active stakeholders in their children’s education. The session concluded with an expression of gratitude from the school team and a collective resolve to work hand-in-hand for the academic and emotional growth of the students.

Commenting on the occasion, Dr Sujeet Eric Masih, Principal of Apeejay School, Saket, emphasised the importance of collaboration between parents and educators. He said, “Parent connect is an essential aspect for the all-round development of the learner. We believe and we deliver.”
His words reflected the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing each student through a collaborative and transparent approach, where parents play a crucial role in the learning journey.
