Apeejay School, Saket recently organised a dynamic and insightful micro-teaching session for its faculty members. The workshop was led by two dedicated educators – Ms. Onila Mishra from the Science department and Ms. Ambareen Farooquee from the English department. Their session aimed to showcase effective teaching methodologies and the impactful use of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs).
Hands-on Demonstrations Spark Engagement
Held in the school’s auditorium, the event drew an enthusiastic response from teachers across various departments. With vibrant visuals and interactive demonstrations, the session created a stimulating environment that reflected the spirit of collaborative learning.
Ms. Onila Mishra’s session revolved around teaching the reactivity series in Chemistry, using an engaging string of colourful flashcards to represent elements such as Calcium, Sodium, Magnesium and more. Meanwhile, Ms. Ambareen Farooquee brought language learning to life through innovative exercises designed to boost participation and comprehension.
Promoting the Use of Teaching Learning Materials (TLMs)
The session underscored the importance of TLMs in simplifying complex concepts, aiding visual memory, and catering to diverse learning styles. It encouraged teachers to adopt more student-centric strategies in their classrooms.
