In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, recently hosted its Orientation Programme for Class XI students and their parents for the academic session 2025–26. Designed to offer guidance and clarity, the session marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for young learners as they stepped into the senior secondary stage of their educational journey.

Guiding students towards purposeful choices

The programme commenced with an insightful address by the Principal, Ms. Surabhi Joshi, who encouraged students to choose their academic streams based on their interests, creativity, and core strengths. She highlighted the importance of aligning subject choices with passion and shared inspiring stories of students who achieved success by pursuing non-traditional combinations. Her message was clear: follow your calling, not convention.

Expert insights into academic streams

To help students and parents make informed decisions, subject experts elaborated on the scope and significance of the three major academic streams:

Mr. Shivkant Sharma discussed the Science stream, covering its vast potential in engineering, medicine, and research fields.

Ms. Jyotsna Madan explained the Commerce stream, focusing on careers in finance, entrepreneurship, and economics.

Ms. Ritu Sharma introduced the Humanities stream, underlining opportunities in law, design, social sciences, and media.

The experts also addressed key concerns, clarified doubts, and encouraged students to consider stream-specific and interdisciplinary career paths.

Embracing future-ready skills

One of the highlights of the programme was the focus on stream-independent careers and the need to develop 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, emotional intelligence, digital literacy, and adaptability. Students were urged to broaden their vision beyond textbook learning and prepare for dynamic, evolving career landscapes.

The orientation concluded with a motivational address by Vice Principal, Ms. Vandana Bansal, who urged students to move forward with clarity, confidence, and curiosity. Her closing remarks left both students and parents inspired to embrace the upcoming academic journey with positivity and purpose.

The programme proved to be an enriching and empowering experience, helping learners take their first step toward a bright and fulfilling future.
