Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, renowned for its sporting triumphs, once again shone through the enthusiasm of its students. The institution, known for fostering a deep love for sports, saw its Class 10 students organise a special assembly to celebrate National Sports Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The event highlighted the significance of sports in life, with an inspiring speech by a student emphasising how physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork contribute to a well-rounded character.
A lively dance to the iconic song ‘Chak De India’ followed, capturing the vibrant spirit of national pride. Students showcased their passion for sports and their energetic zeal for teamwork. The assembly also featured a moving group performance with songs that reflected the resilience and determination needed in both student and sports life.




A thought-provoking video was presented, displaying students engaged in various sporting activities, further driving home the message of how sports play an integral role in holistic development. The Vice Principal, Ms. Vandana Bansal, concluded the assembly with an inspiring address, urging students to actively participate in at least one sport. Her words highlighted how sports shape not only physical fitness but also mental fortitude, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.
Not to be outdone, the ever-enthusiastic students of Class 4 also organised a special assembly to mark the day. Their celebration began with a spirited welcome speech, underscoring the significance of National Sports Day and paying tribute to the legendary Major Dhyan Chand. Students also highlighted how sports figures like Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, P.V. Sindhu, and Virat Kohli have become role models through their hard work and dedication.




The Class 4 students staged an engaging skit in the form of a role-play on prominent sports personalities, inspiring everyone with tales of perseverance and achievement. The event concluded with a captivating dance performance and an interactive sports quiz, leaving the audience both entertained and enlightened about the value of sports.
In both assemblies, Apeejay School’s students successfully paid homage to the spirit of sports, instilling in their peers a renewed appreciation for the power of athleticism and perseverance.
