Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, radiated with festive cheer as students, faculty, and staff came together to celebrate Diwali in an unforgettable event. Blending tradition with creativity and camaraderie, the celebration highlighted the unity and joy that defines the ASM community, offering a vibrant cultural experience for all who attended.

The day’s festivities began with an engaging Antakshari session, where participants were divided into three teams to compete with renditions of classic songs, infusing the campus with timeless melodies and playful competition. This heartwarming musical start created an atmosphere of joy and nostalgia, setting a perfect prelude to the vibrant day ahead.

Following Antakshari, the campus transformed into a lively Diwali Mela, with stalls showcasing a delightful assortment of handcrafted items and creative games. Students displayed their entrepreneurial flair with unique stalls featuring colorful resin jewelry, intricate mandala art, and beautifully crafted diyas and decorative items, each piece a reflection of Diwali’s charm. Additionally, activity stalls such as whisper challenge, bluff, blow the ball, and stamp art invited enthusiastic participation, with laughter and friendly banter filling the air. The Pictionary game attracted large groups of students, sparking bursts of creativity and fun. Each activity added an interactive element to the Mela, allowing participants to enjoy an immersive Diwali experience while fostering a sense of community.

In keeping with the theme of cultural expression, the day unfolded with a powerful Nukkad Natak performed by ASM students. The street play centered around Diwali’s message of spreading light and joy, emphasising kindness in a world often marked by division and negativity. With expressive performances and impactful dialogues, the students conveyed the importance of empathy and community, receiving resounding applause from the audience for their powerful delivery and the thought-provoking message.

As the Mela continued, attention soon shifted to the evening’s much-awaited ramp walk competition. Participants from the faculty, second-year students, first-year students, and staff categories took to the runway, showcasing their style and confidence while adorned in vibrant traditional attire. The crowd cheered enthusiastically as each participant brought Diwali’s spirit to life, embodying grace and cultural pride in every step. The title of “Best Dressed” was awarded to stand out participants from each category: Dr. Ahmad Khan and Dr. Ruchi Malik in the faculty category, Rishabh Jha and Shweta Sheth among the second-year PGDM students, and Sabela Reddy and Ishita Tanwar representing first-year PGDM students. For the staff category, Mr. Shrawan and Ms. Jitender Kaur captured the spotlight. The wildcard winners, Kaifi Malik and Akash Bhatt, also made a notable impression with their unique sense of style and confidence. A special prize distribution ceremony honored each winner, celebrating their festive spirit and elegance on the runway.

Following the ramp walk, the evening’s cultural charm reached new heights with a soulful singing performance by Ankit Priyadarshi and Sukriti Jain, whose voices captivated everyone present. Their enchanting performance resonated with the festive atmosphere, creating a serene and joyous ambiance that perfectly encapsulated Diwali’s spirit. With each note, the audience was drawn deeper into the music, savoring the melodies that brought warmth and harmony to the celebration.

As the night unfolded, the event culminated with an open dance floor, where students, faculty, and staff came together to celebrate the evening with boundless energy and joy. The dance floor became a vibrant scene of unity as upbeat music encouraged everyone to join in, creating a lively atmosphere of shared happiness and camaraderie. This spontaneous dance session highlighted the bonds within the Apeejay community, as participants revealed in the festive spirit and embraced the joy of togetherness.
