Apeejay School of Management immerses in cultural festivities

Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, embraced the festive spirit with great enthusiasm as it hosted the Diwali & Dandiya Celebrations at the campus. The event, organised by the Cultural Team, was a grand expression of joy, creativity, and togetherness — reflecting the institute’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also cultural harmony.

The celebration commenced with the auspicious Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolising the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. The ceremonial lamp was lit by Prof. Sajal Mukherjee and Dr. Usha Ravi, whose presence added grace and positivity to the occasion.

The evening, hosted by second-year students Om Kumar Yadav and Ojhal Dawar, brimmed with energy as they kept the audience engaged through their spirited anchoring. The campus came alive with colour, music, and laughter as students showcased their festive spirit through a series of fun-filled competitions.

Highlights of the evening included the Best Stall CompetitionBest Dressed Contest, and the much-anticipated Dandiya Dance Competition. Students displayed creativity and innovation through beautifully designed stalls, elegant ethnic wear, and rhythmic dance performances that captured the essence of the season.

A panel of faculty judges evaluated the performances, appreciating the participants for their effort and enthusiasm. Their encouraging remarks added to the festive atmosphere, motivating everyone to participate wholeheartedly.

Sharing her thoughts, Ishika Bansal expressed, “It was an incredible experience to be part of such a colorful and lively celebration. The decorations, music, and traditional atmosphere made the evening truly special. Participating in the Dandiya competition was so much fun, and the cheers from friends made it even more memorable. This event beautifully captured the essence of Diwali — spreading light, happiness, and togetherness.”

Another student Shweta Yadav mentioned, “The Diwali celebration was filled with energy, smiles, and beautiful memories. From the lamp lighting to the dance performances, every moment reflected teamwork and festive joy. The organising committee did a wonderful job managing everything so smoothly. It felt amazing to celebrate such an important festival with our entire college family — it was truly a night to remember.”

Dr. Preeti Suryawanshi, Associate Professor, appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and creativity, highlighting how beautifully the spirit of Diwali was captured through music, dance, and cultural expression. “The event not only showcased students’ talent but also reflected teamwork, unity, and festive warmth. Such celebrations strengthen the bond between faculty and students and create lasting memories beyond the classroom,” she said.

Adding further, Dr. Shweta Jha, Associate Professor, commended the meticulous planning and smooth coordination of the entire program. She emphasised that the event was a perfect blend of cultural vibrancy and joyful participation, where every student contributed wholeheartedly. Dr. Jha added that witnessing students celebrate traditions with such energy and respect for culture was truly heartwarming and reflected the institute’s lively spirit of togetherness.

The event concluded with the felicitation of winners including Rituraj and Ishika Bansal , who were crowned Best Dandiya DancersRubal and Bhavishya won the Best Stall award; while AtulPranav GargDeepti, and Divya bagged the Best Dressed titles. Among faculty and staff, Pragya Ma’am and Beena Ma’am were recognised for their elegant festive attire, and Sunil Sir received Special Appreciation for his extra efforts.
