The corridors of Apeejay School, Noida were brimming with giggles, glitter, and greetings as the new academic session kickstarted for Pre-Primary and Primary classes. Teachers welcomed students with warmth, while fun-filled, hands-on activities turned the first day into a joyous celebration of fresh beginnings. From tiny tots to Class 5 students, everyone found unique ways to express their excitement and creativity.

A series of interactive welcome activities were designed to foster a sense of belonging and build bonds between classmates and teachers alike. The morning began with affectionate greetings from the teachers, who introduced themselves and shared their enthusiasm for the exciting academic journey ahead.

In Class Nursery, little learners dived into a fun smiley craft activity. With googly eyes, colourful beads, and beaming expressions, the children decorated cheerful smiley cutouts and pasted them onto pencils. Their takeaway? A special keepsake pencil with the inspiring message: “We are ready to shine!”

Class KG students expressed their joy through a delightful headgear-making activity. Adorned with glittery stars and vibrant colours, the headgear also bore the heartwarming message: “Happy to be an Apeejayite.”

Meanwhile, the students of Class 1 crafted wristbands decorated with the slogan “Excited to be in Class 1,” proudly showcasing their readiness for the year ahead. The joy of stepping into a new grade was equally evident in Class 2, where students made sparkling crown cutouts inscribed with “I am in Class 2,” using stickers, glitter, and their own artistic flair.

In Class 3, the tone turned thoughtful as students participated in a reflective palm tracing activity. They outlined their hands on A4 sheets and filled them in with qualities they believed they possessed—fostering early self-awareness and confidence.

The creative journey continued in Class 4 with a vibrant Paper Handbag Craft activity. Using coloured sheets, sketch pens, watercolours, glitter, and stickers, students made unique paper handbags, complete with handles and personality.

Class 5 wrapped up the day with an engaging “A Hoodie About Me” exercise. On hoodie-shaped cutouts, the students penned their likes, interests, and personal stories—an imaginative way to open up and connect with classmates.

The day ended with radiant smiles, decorated classrooms, and hearts full of anticipation. These welcome activities didn’t just brighten the beginning—they laid the foundation for a year filled with creativity, collaboration, and confidence.
