To honour the unconditional love, resilience, and sacrifices of mothers, Apeejay School, Noida, celebrated Mother’s Day with a vibrant array of meaningful activities for students of Classes 6 to 12. The celebration offered a creative platform for students to express their affection and heartfelt gratitude towards their mothers — through poetry, art, personal reflections, and emotional letters.

In Class 6, students participated in the ‘Mother’s Day Acrostic’ activity. Each child crafted thoughtful lines beginning with the letters of the word MOTHER, displayed beautifully on A4 sheets with colourful illustrations and artwork. The exercise not only nurtured creativity but also captured the essence of what a mother means to each child.

Class 7 students penned ‘Letters of Gratitude’, addressing their mothers with warmth and sincerity. These heartfelt messages expressed appreciation for the everyday care, sacrifices, and unwavering support that mothers provide. Many students recalled small yet significant moments that highlighted their deep emotional bonds.

In Class 8, the activity titled ‘Memories of/with Mom’ invited students to reflect on cherished experiences shared with their mothers. These sincere recollections ranged from bedtime stories to comforting hugs during difficult times — weaving together a mosaic of love and connection.

Class 9 added a creative twist with the ‘Handprint Flower Poem’ activity. Students dipped their hands in paint to create vibrant flower motifs and paired them with original poems dedicated to their mothers. The artwork symbolised both the individuality of each child and the nurturing nature of a mother’s love.

For Class 10, the focus shifted to introspection with the ‘Reflective Letter Writing’ task. Students thoughtfully composed letters that acknowledged the guiding presence of their mothers in shaping their values, character, and aspirations.

In Classes 11 and 12, students were given the freedom to choose their medium — be it a poem, letter, or handmade card — allowing for personalised and deeply felt expressions. Many chose to revisit treasured memories, while others offered tributes to their mothers’ strength and sacrifices.

All students were encouraged to personally present their creations to their mothers — making the gesture all the more special. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation and emotional resonance across all grades. The school’s thoughtful approach turned the occasion into not just a celebration, but a heartfelt tribute to the enduring beauty of maternal love.
