This insightful initiative aimed at upskilling teachers with contemporary pedagogical strategies to transform classrooms into more engaging and thought-provoking learning environments.

The programme commenced on a ceremonial note with the lighting of the lamp, symbolising the light of knowledge and wisdom. The school Principal, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chandel, delivered a warm and inspiring welcome address, setting a positive tone for the event.

Thought leaders inspire the day

The first day’s sessions were led by two seasoned educators – Mrs. Sandhya Dewan, Principal of Cambridge International School, Nakodar, and Mrs. Davinder Kaur, Vice Principal of Swami Sant Dass Public School, Phagwara. Both resource persons brought a wealth of experience and practical insights to the table, delivering impactful presentations that captivated the audience.

The interactive session equipped teachers with innovative teaching methods designed to:

Capture students’ attention effectively

Make learning more enjoyable and engaging

Enhance problem-solving skills within the classroom

Educators were encouraged to explore creative thinking approaches that could stimulate curiosity, imagination, and interest among students – key components for 21st-century learning.

Focus on critical thinking

The training also placed a strong emphasis on critical thinking, helping teachers understand how to guide students in:

Making fact-based decisions

Thinking logically and rationally

Evaluating situations from multiple perspectives

Such skills are essential not only for academic success but also for navigating real-life challenges with clarity and confidence.

The session concluded on a high note, leaving the participating teachers motivated and better equipped to nurture young minds with creativity, clarity, and compassion.
