The corridors of Apeejay School, Model Town, recently came alive with the rustle of pages, cheerful chatter, and the unmistakable excitement of young readers as the school hosted its much-awaited Book Fair. The event was a true celebration of books — where stories met curiosity, and imagination took flight.
A paradise for young readers
The fair welcomed students from different grades, each eager to browse through colourful displays of books across genres. From enchanting storybooks and science adventures to comic collections and motivational reads, the tables were stacked with something for every young reader. The bright decorations, vibrant posters, and festive balloons added to the lively atmosphere, transforming the hall into a book lover’s paradise.
Encouraging a lifelong love for books
Teachers and students alike emphasised how such events help nurture a love for reading early in life. Many students were seen discussing their favourite titles and recommending stories to their friends — a heartwarming sight that reflected how reading can be both personal and social.

The Book Fair was more than just an opportunity to buy books — it was a step towards cultivating lifelong learners. In an age of screens and instant information, the event encouraged students to slow down and immerse themselves in the magical world that only books can offer. Whether it was fiction or facts, fantasy or biographies, every corner of the fair sparked curiosity and inspired exploration.
As the event concluded, one could still sense the buzz of excitement lingering in the air. The Book Fair was not just an exhibition of books but a celebration of curiosity, imagination, and the timeless bond between children and stories.
