Apeejay School, Faridabad holds ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ workshop for young learners

In its ongoing commitment to nurturing a safe and inclusive learning environment, Apeejay School, Faridabad recently conducted a significant awareness workshop on ‘Good Touch, Bad Touch’ for its primary school students. The interactive session aimed at sensitising young learners about personal safety, bodily autonomy, and the importance of open communication.

Promoting child safety and well-being

The workshop aligns with the values of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, and peace and justice. By addressing child safety from an early age, the school reinforces its belief in holistic development that goes beyond academics.

Led by Mrs Archana Khanna, the session was thoughtfully curated to be age-appropriate and engaging. Using simple language and relatable scenarios, children were guided to understand the difference between safe and unsafe physical interactions. They were taught how to set healthy boundaries, say “no” when something feels uncomfortable, and how to identify trusted adults they can turn to for help.

Encouraging open communication and emotional expression

Mrs Khanna also stressed the importance of emotional expression. The session encouraged students to build confidence, trust their instincts, and communicate effectively.

The workshop was part of the school’s broader effort to ensure the safety, health, and personal growth of every student. Teachers and facilitators ensured active participation, allowing students to absorb and internalise these important lessons.

Upholding the school’s vision of holistic education

Apeejay School, Faridabad continues to prioritise the well-being of its students by creating a secure and supportive ecosystem. With a child-first approach, the school remains steadfast in its mission to educate, protect, and empower every student – helping them grow into aware, confident, and responsible individuals.
