Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri hosts traditional painting contest

In a splendid celebration of Indian heritage and student creativity, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, recently hosted a vibrant Traditional Painting Competition within its school premises. The event was an artistic extravaganza, drawing in enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 6, 7, 8, and 11. What made the event even more commendable was the 100 percent participation rate, showcasing the collective spirit and excitement of every student involved.

Applauding this remarkable turnout, Principal Dr Vineet Vasishtha shared, “I am immensely proud of our students from classes 6, 7, 8, and 11 for their 100% participation in the Traditional Painting Competition. Reviving the richness of Indian Folk Art

The primary aim of this unique competition was to revive and promote traditional Indian art forms, encouraging students to reconnect with the country’s diverse and culturally rich roots. Students were assigned themes based on iconic Indian art styles such as Madhubani, Warli, Pattachitra, and Kalamkari – each known for its intricate details, storytelling elements, and regional significance.

Armed with paintbrushes, colors, and boundless imagination, students transformed blank canvases into visual masterpieces. The school auditorium came alive with a burst of colors, as the stunning artworks were put on display for everyone to admire. The entire venue resembled a traditional art gallery, echoing the sounds of admiration and inspiration.

A panel of judges, comprising in-house art faculty and external experts, had the challenging task of selecting winners from this remarkable showcase.
