Arijit RoyComposite education is the entitlement of every student. A good school not only focuses on the scholastic front but also ensures that the students acquire the necessary soft skills via various extracurricular activities. These soft skills go a long way in the life of a student as they come handy in their daily existence.
In line with this vision, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park recently organised Indradhanush, an inter-house cultural fiesta in its campus. The middle and senior school students from all the four houses – Akbar, Tagore, Vivekananda and Ashoka – displayed their artistic talent.
The event gave them a platform to showcase their talents as they participated in different activities like music, dance, art, debate, Sanskrit shloka recitation, poetry recitation, quiz, salad making and so on. Further, the students also displayed their tremendous talent and creativity in poster making, flower decoration and rangoli making competitions.
A class 12 student, R.Akanksha said, “I participated in two events, Senior English Debate and Senior Poster Making competitions. It was over two years since we got an opportunity to take part in physical competitive events, and this was our school’s first in-house series of events after the pandemic. And the excitement was clearly visible among all the students. It was refreshing to see people volunteering to participate, being eager to win and the house unity that carried throughout.”
She further added, “The pandemic played a huge role in developing hobbies and new interests as an attempt to stay busy, and through the house competitions all of those hobbies were put to test, be it the cooking skills that is Salad Making event, or the fine art knowledge that included Poster Making competition.
The fun-filled extravaganza culminated with an alluring dance competition organised by the students from the four houses. All the participants were dressed in enticing traditional folk attire, who set the stage on fire with their energetic performances.
Exhibiting her zeal, Moli Chauhan, a student of class 12 said, “I participated in the Dance Competition (Senior Category) . My experience was exhilarating. On a personal level, I learnt a lot in communicating , being tolerant , presenting and also being able to ignore or combacking to all negative compliments. We were so delighted after we were declared as winners, we had worked really hard. Our practice paid off and all thanks to my team members and teachers.”
The school Principal, Mr Sandeep Singh Kathuria and Vice Principal, Ms Shalini Agrawal congratulated the winners and also appreciated the sparkling creativity exhibited by them across all the events.

“Indradhanush is the true embodiment of the many hues of a students’ talent. We at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, were spellbound as we witnessed their performance. Proud of the versatility of our students.
