‘Apeejay is an amazing place for great beginnings!’

Vipul is a Corporate Agency Manager at HDFC Life, Jalandhar. She is an alumna of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), who pursued her MBA in finance and marketing and then went on to secure a great campus placement. In a quick chat with the professional, we learn what sparked her interest in the field of interests and investments.

What all work do you do on a normal day at the office?

 I manage a lot of things. As part of my work my profile, I handle the banking work be it opening and managing the saving accounts, opening FDs or managing the SPs i.e. specified persons. Additionally, I also have to focus on HDFC Life work such as insurance renewal collection. 

What inspired you to join the finance field?

I was always good at dealing with people, hence the MBA and as far as finance is considered, it interested me from my childhood.

Tell us about the AIMETC days now?

All the teachers there were so supportive and Rahul sir motivated me so much. I participated in many competitions and I got second position in a business quiz held in a different college.

I also participated in Pinnacle and Spark, both prestigious college festivals. I was the coordinator of the Bhangra team and painting team there.

You were campus placed right?

I got placed in a few companies. I chose HDFC Life as it was in Jalandhar. I did not wish to join ICICI bank, the other good opportunity  for it was based in Delhi and I wanted to stay in my hometown. 

Any advice for current Apeejay students?

AIMETC is a great place for great beginnings. Just keep working on yourself
