The students of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), Dwarka came together to celebrate the festival of lights with vibrant performances, creative expression, and traditional rituals, filling the campus with the spirit of Diwali. The event featured cultural performances, dance, and poetry, showcasing the diverse talents of the students while celebrating Indian traditions.
In preparation for the event, students transformed the campus with beautiful decorations, using bright lights, traditional diyas, and colourful rangoli designs, creating a festive and warm ambiance that embodied the essence of Diwali. The air was filled with excitement and a sense of community, as students worked together to bring their creative visions to life.

Anchors Karan and Lakshya led the celebration with charisma and warmth, extending heartfelt wishes to their peers, faculty, and staff. They brought the Diwali spirit to the forefront, engaging the audience and encouraging everyone to join in the festivities. Through their anchoring, they connected with the crowd, amplifying the joy and cheer of the occasion.
The event also included poetry recitals, with students expressing their reflections on Diwali and the significance of the festival. Dance performances brought energy to the gathering, with vibrant choreography that drew inspiration from various Indian dance forms.
This Diwali celebration at Apeejay Institute was a beautiful reminder of the strength of community and tradition, reflecting the values of unity, creativity, and cultural pride. The event left a lasting impression, reminding all in attendance of the importance of celebration, connection, and gratitude during this special time of year.
Sharing his thoughts, student Lakshya Mehra expressed, “Hosting the college Diwali celebration was an unforgettable experience, where I engaged the audience with a captivating script under the amphitheater’s sunny skies. Managing performances and live music for friends and faculty brought smiles and filled the atmosphere with the vibrant spirit of Diwali. The celebration embodied unity, joy, and light, making the day a memorable gathering that truly honoured the Festival of Lights.”
