Apeejay Institute of Design, New Delhi, rolled out a lively and memorable welcome for its new batch of students with an energetic Fresher’s Party themed “Disco & Denim.” The event was a vibrant celebration of music, dance, creativity, and togetherness, reflecting the spirit of the institute and its culture of warmth and inclusivity.

The festivities began with a graceful welcome dance performance, which set the tone for an evening filled with enthusiasm and joy. The senior students played a major role in planning and executing the event, ensuring that every newcomer felt included and comfortable in their new environment. Through interactive games, fun competitions, and engaging performances, the seniors made the day unforgettable for the freshers.

Adding a thoughtful touch to the celebration, the seniors presented each fresher with a personalized caricature photo frame as a token of love and memory—an artistic gesture befitting a design institute. The highlight of the evening was the much-awaited Ms. and Mr. Fresher 2025 contest, where participants showcased their confidence, style, and talent through multiple rounds.

The judging panel for the event comprised Mr. Devesh Kr. Mishra, Assistant Registrar, and Ms. Gargi Neogi, Assistant Professor, who evaluated the participants based on their creativity, personality, and presentation. After an exciting series of rounds and performances, the winners were announced:

  • Mr. Fresher 2025: Devansh Panchal (GDP – Foundation)
  • Ms. Fresher 2025: Mahima Boura (GDP – Foundation)
  • Mr. Best Dressed: Veer Suri (GDP – Foundation)
  • Ms. Best Dressed: Kajal Dosadh (EDD – Interior – I Semester)

In addition to these titles, the Popular Choice Awards were determined by senior students, with Mr. Social awarded to Junaid Ansari (EDD – Fashion – I Semester) and Ms. Social to Ashmeet Kaur (GDP – Foundation).

The evening concluded on a cheerful note with refreshments and group photos, leaving behind smiles and cherished memories. The event not only served as a fun introduction for the new batch but also strengthened the bond between seniors and juniors.

The Disco & Denim party perfectly captured the essence of Apeejay Institute of Design’s creative spirit—where art, friendship, and celebration come together to mark the beginning of an exciting new journey for the freshers.
