Dr Stya Paul, the late Founder Chairman of Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education, was a visionary and an inspiration to all. He was the epitome of resilience and determination- an optimistic figure who faced all challenges of life with positivity. For those who had the privilege of knowing him and working closely with him, Dr Stya Paul ji was a father figure to all – not just professionally; it was reflected in the personal care and concern he had for each and every member of the vast Apeejay family.
Thus, the Apeejay family gathered to mark the 15th Punyatithi of the visionary leader at the auditorium of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park. Remembering and reflecting on his rich ideals, this special prayer meeting was graced by a distinguished gathering of eminent educationists from the Apeejay family including Dr VS Garg, Education Advisor, Apeejay Education, and Mr NN Nayyar, Senior Education Officer, Apeejay Education. Also present were Education Officers, Apeejay Education, Mr Bedi, Mr Sharad Tiwari, Principal of Apeejay’s IB School, Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park Mr Purshottam Dutt Vashist, as well as Vice Principal of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park Ms Vandana Bansal along with staff members, teachers, parents and students.

The auspicious ceremony commenced with the dignitaries paying shradhanjali to Dr Stya Paul by lighting the lamp and offering floral tribute.
Dr. Stya Paul ji had left for his heavenly abode in 2010, leaving behind a lasting legacy of educational excellence and nation building. He was 90 years old when he left, yet till his last day, he was fully alert, always ready to learn something new everyday, retaining his child-like zeal and curiosity for discovering new things. Even though he was physically challenged since childhood, he did not let this deter him in any way. He led an extraordinary successful life, became a leading industrialist, educationist and philanthropist. He also joined India’s freedom struggle and was imprisoned by the British for participating in the Quit India movement.

As part of the celebration, a specially curated video showcasing a moving glimpse into the karmayogi’s remarkable journey was featured. This was followed by a heartfelt poem recitation by a student, beautifully capturing the essence of his ideals. While adding a spiritual dimension to the occasion, students of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park along with their music teachers presented Dr. Stya Paul’s favourite bhajans, including Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram, Itni Shakti Hummey Dena Daata and more.

Reflecting on the days of working together with Dr Stya Paul, Dr VS Garg, Education Advisor, Apeejay Education, in his speech highlighted, “He held concern for each and every member of the vast Apeejay family. He was a visionary who wanted to give the best to this country through a team he considered to be the best and that shared his vision.” Dr. Garg’s reflections brought alive the memories of a man who led by example and built institutions rooted in purpose.

Additionally, Vice Principal Ms. Vandana Bansal offered a deeply emotional tribute, reflecting on Dr. Stya Paul ji’s enduring influence on education and human values. “On this day, let us commit ourselves to dream and soar higher with each passing day.”
The ceremony concluded with Ram Dhun, a rendition that filled the air with peace and spiritual energy.
