Apeejay College of Fine Arts reflects on the ideals of late Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul
Marking his 14th Punya Tithi, members pay a heartfelt tribute on this occasion
Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA) in Jalandhar, recently commemorated the 14th Punya Tithi of Late Dr Stya Paul, Founder Chairman , Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education with a heartfelt tribute. The event began with the college’s Music Department performing Dr. Stya Paul’s favourite bhajans, offering a melodious homage to the remarkable visionary, educationist, freedom fighter, and philanthropist.
The event featured a special message from Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. She highlighted the illustrious life of Dr. Stya Paul, emphasising that he was an epitome of his ideals and human values. Mrs. Berlia remarked that a true tribute to Dr. Stya Paul would be to embody the values and principles he cherished and practiced throughout his life.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra also reflected on Dr. Stya Paul’s enduring vision, which continues to guide the institution. She noted that his exemplary commitment and dedication remain a constant source of inspiration for the entire Apeejay community.
Dr. Sunit Kaur, Head of the Department of English, shared fond memories of Dr. Stya Paul’s visits to the institution. She recalled his warm and inspiring personality, likening him to a father figure who personally addressed many faculty members by name. His encouragement and appreciation for their contributions significantly impacted the faculty, fostering a culture of excellence and mutual respect.
Dr. Kaur further emphasised that the institution’s numerous milestones and achievements are deeply rooted in Dr. Stya Paul’s farsighted vision and progressive ideals. His leadership laid a strong foundation for Apeejay College of Fine Arts, enabling it to thrive and evolve year after year.
