Apeejay College of Fine Arts (ACFA), Jalandhar, through its PG Department of Computer Science and IT Forum, successfully organised the 16th Tech Fest—an inter-school competition that witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 students representing various schools across Punjab. The event served as a vibrant platform for young minds to showcase their creativity, innovation, technical skills, and artistic talents through a diverse range of competitive activities.
The Tech Fest featured as many as 20 competitions, including Business Plan Presentation, Play with Clay, Painting on the Spot, General Quiz Bonanza, Gaming, Picture Captioning, Poster Presentation, Photography, Gustakhi Maaf, Website Development, Programming Skills, Declamation, Poetical Recitation, Theme-based Modelling, T-shirt Painting, Mobile App Idea Presentation, Rangoli, Cooking, Group Dance, and News Reading. The wide spectrum of events ensured holistic participation, blending technology with creativity, communication, and cultural expression.


The inaugural ceremony was graced by Ms. Gurinderjeet Kaur, District Education Officer, Jalandhar, as the Chief Guest. Welcoming her, Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra expressed confidence that her presence would inspire the participating students. She also acknowledged Ms. Kaur’s commendable contribution towards strengthening the education system of Jalandhar through the integration of modern technologies. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest appreciated the talent and enthusiasm of the students and applauded ACFA for preserving its rich educational legacy. She emphasised that the true purpose of education lies in nurturing values rooted in Satyam, Shivam, and Sundaram, and highlighted the need to bridge the growing gap between government and private schooling through value-based education.

Dr. Dhingra also acknowledged the visionary leadership of Founder Chairman Dr. Stya Paul Ji, the exceptional guidance of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia—President, Apeejay Stya & Swaran Group and Chairperson, Apeejay Education—and the encouragement of Dr. Neha Berlia, Joint Secretary, Apeejay Education, under whose stewardship ACFA has steadily progressed towards global standards of excellence. A thematic video titled “Soaring High Is My Nature”, depicting the institution’s 50-year journey, was screened on the occasion. A soulful Shiv Stuti by Samartha from the Performing Arts Department further enriched the inaugural session, while Ms. Rajni Kumar from the Department of Design highlighted the college’s notable achievements.
The valedictory ceremony was presided over by Dr. Sucharita Sharma, Director, Apeejay Education, Jalandhar, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Dhingra lauded her immense contribution to ACFA’s growth over the years, noting that under her visionary guidance the college has achieved excellence across academics, fine arts, and cultural pursuits with national recognition. Sharing her reflections, Dr. Sharma described her 41-year association with Apeejay College as a journey of learning and purpose, deeply shaped by the guidance of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia. The ceremony also featured a powerful choreography on Nari Shakti performed by students of the Performing Arts Department.











In the results, the Championship Trophy of Tech Fest 2026 was won by Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, followed by MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar, in second place, and Apeejay School, Model Town, in third place. Certificates and prizes were awarded to all winners. Appreciating the flawless execution of the event, Dr. Neerja Dhingra commended the efforts of the overall in-charges, conveners, function in-charges, and the entire organising team for their dedication and teamwork.
