Table Tennis is surely a sport that looks so easy from the outside but once you hold the tiny racket in your hand, the little orange or white coloured ball makes you go ‘ping-pong’, as speed, accuracy, hand eye coordination all are tested within a margin of split seconds. This is what makes Table Tennis affectionately called as ‘TT’ by players worldwide.

Table tennis is enjoyed equally by all students in schools, for as a sport TT teaches us many key life lessons. Staying focussed on the target, not giving up till the end, fighting for every point and so forth, pupils learn a lot in a fun way through the sport.

In sync with this vision, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, Haryana recently organised a thrilling Table Tennis inter house tournament, which saw senior boys and girls compete with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The school atmosphere was charged with excitement as students from different houses put forth their best efforts to clinch the top positions.

The girls’ category saw intense competition, with Nanak house emerging as the
champion after showcasing their exceptional skills and teamwork. Gautam House secured the second position, demonstrating determination and strong performances while Kabir house finished third, adding a commendable effort to the tournament.

In the boys’ category, Kabir house dominated the competition, securing the first position with outstanding gameplay. Nanak house followed closely, earning the second position with remarkable performances. Gautam House claimed the third spot, showing great potential and fighting spirit. The boys’ matches were equally exhilarating as compared to the girl’s category.  All the games were full with intense rallies and strategic plays that kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

Principal, Dr. Vineet Vasishtha, graced the occasion with his presence and
appreciated the participants for their commitment and sportsmanship. He emphasized the importance of sports in building character within his address and also encouraged the students to continue striving for excellence in all areas of life.

Certificates were distributed to the winners and all participants, acknowledging their hard work and achievements. The inter house table tennis tournament was not just a display of skill and competition but also a celebration of teamwork, perseverance, and the spirit of sportsmanship. The event concluded with cheers and applause from the students in the audience, leaving everyone motivated and joyful.
