Apeejay alumnus wins prestigious A’Design Award 

Siddharth Bathla, Co-founder of Design Factory India, receives this honour for his outstanding work on the exhibition design of Smriti Van Earthquake Museum at Bhuj, Gujarat

It’s a moment of triumph for Apeejay Institute of Technology – School of Architecture & Planning alumnus and Co-founder of Design Factory India Siddharth Bathla. The renowned architect has recently received the distinguished A’ Design Award for his exceptional work on the exhibition design of Smriti Van Earthquake Museum at Bhuj, Gujarat. He was honoured with this award at the grand gala night in Como, Italy.

Dedicated to the victims of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake, the Smriti Van Museum has been conceptualised by Mr. Bathla and his team at the Design Factory India. The international brilliance of this project has captured hearts worldwide. The Apeejay alumnus further takes pride to showcase his outstanding work to the honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. 

Sharing his thoughts on this achievement, Mr. Bathla expressed, “I feel delighted to receive the A’Design Award. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work that went into creating something truly exceptional. The journey of crafting the experience for the Smriti Van Earthquake Museum and Memorial has been an incredible one. It’s been a collaborative endeavour, weaving together history, technology, and creativity to tell a compelling story.”

He continues to add, “The museum’s design aims to evoke an emotional connection, allowing visitors to not only learn about the past, but to also experience it.
