The Annual Sports Day at Apeejay Svran Global School, Sector 21-D, Faridabad, was a grand celebration of teamwork, determination, and school spirit. Held on February 7, 2025, the event was filled with thrilling competitions, enthusiastic participation, and memorable moments that highlighted the dedication and talent of the students.
The day began with a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, who were presented with mementoes as a token of appreciation. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Shri Rajbir Singh**, an international and national powerlifting medalist. The Special Guests included Shri Dharambir Singh Bhadana, a social worker, and Shri Jai Prakash Maavi, General Secretary of RWA 21-D. The Guest of Honour for the event was Mr BK Bedi, Education Officer, Apeejay Education. The event was also graced by parent representatives.


Ms Priti Wason, the Principal, delivered an inspiring welcome address, setting the tone for the day’s events. This was followed by the lighting of the torch, marking the official start of the Sports Day. The Chief Guest then formally declared the event open.
A Spectacle of Discipline and Coordination
The Sports Day commenced with the flag march past, where students from different houses marched in perfect synchronization. Their discipline and coordination were commendable, reflecting their dedication to upholding the school’s values.
Following this, students showcased their fitness and agility through impressive drills, including the flag drill, rhythmic aerobics, and clapping yoga. These performances were a true testament to their teamwork and spirit.
The much-anticipated track events had the audience on the edge of their seats. Students competed in 100m, 200m, and 400m sprints, displaying exceptional speed and determination. The relay races were particularly thrilling, with teams demonstrating seamless coordination as they passed the baton.
For the Pre-primary and primary sections, engaging activities like sorting the vegetables, shaping chains, snowman race, obstacle race, and hopscotch (stapoo) with hoopla race kept the young athletes excited and involved.
Adding to the fun, parents participated in a special parents’ race, bringing in an element of enthusiasm and fostering a deeper connection with the school community.


















Recognising Achievements
After an eventful day of competition, the much-awaited prize distribution ceremony took place. Winners were awarded medals by the Chief Guest, Special Guests, and the Guest of Honor. The Sports Day Trophy was presented to the overall winning House, marking a proud moment for the students.
The Annual Sports Day at Apeejay Svran Global School was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication of the organizing committee, teachers, staff, and, most importantly, the students. Beyond the victories and medals, the event reinforced essential values of teamwork, perseverance, and school spirit, making it a truly memorable experience for all involved.
