Annual Appreciation Day: A celebration of emotions and excellence

Recently, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar, hosted its Annual Appreciation Day — Abhiviyakti 2.0 — under the distinguished patronage of Mrs Sushma Paul BerliaChairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. This gala event was a blend of creativity, culture, and celebration, reflecting the essence of human emotions.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr Rishi Kumar, IRS, Additional Commissioner, Revenue Department, Jalandhar, as the Chief Guest. Adding a special touch to the occasion was Dr Sahil Sareen, an alumnus and renowned cardiologist at NHS Hospital, Jalandhar, as the Guest of Honour. Other notable dignitaries included the Member of Board, Dr Neena Sondhi, and Mr Nirmal MahajanDr Sucharita, Director, Apeejay Education; and Dr Neerja Dhingra, Principal, Apeejay College of Fine Arts.

The ceremony commenced with a Guard of Honour presented to the Chief Guest by the school’s NCC cadets and band. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, a symbolic gesture of wisdom and knowledge, accompanied by an invocation dance.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr Kumar, inspired the students with his motivational words, urging them to aim high and strive for excellence in all their endeavours. His speech resonated with the young minds, leaving a lasting impact. He emphasised the importance of resilience and adaptability in navigating life’s challenges.

A special video presentation, The Journey of a Leader, beautifully narrated the inspirational life stories of Founder-Chairman Dr Stya PaulMrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, and Dr Neha Berlia, Co-Promoter, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group. The video was a heartfelt tribute to the vision and values that have guided Apeejay institutions over the years.

Showcasing Talent: Shakespeare and More

The highlight of the event was an English play titled Shakespeare Decoded. The performance brought to life the vivid emotions that define human experiences, captivating the audience with its depth and creativity. The function theme centred on fundamental human emotions, reflecting their influence on life’s journey.

A vibrant cultural programme added colour and energy to the evening. From the rhythm of traditional bhangra to the soulful grace of Sufi dance, the performances were a testament to the students’ talent and enthusiasm. Musical renditions and group dances further enthralled the audience, making the event a delightful experience for all. The cultural programme highlighted the importance of preserving heritage while embracing modernity, a hallmark of Apeejay School’s ethos.

Celebrating Success: The Annual Report

Principal Ms Sangeeta Nistandra presented the Annual Report, a comprehensive account of the school’s achievements in various domains over the past academic session. The report celebrated the students’ outstanding performances and the school’s milestones, drawing hearty applause from the audience. The report also highlighted the introduction of new initiatives aimed at fostering innovation and leadership among students.

The school’s young achievers, who excelled in curricular and co-curricular activities, were felicitated by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Their accomplishments underscored the school’s commitment to nurturing holistic development and excellence.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the function’s success.
